Sibiu's only boutique-style hostel in an award-winning heritage building

"Felinarul encapsulates everything I could ask for as a traveler, and much more. The priceless location, the intimate atmosphere and their exceptional and fair-priced café, serving the best cheeseburger I've eaten outside the US. Extras like the personal attention from the staff, the thoughtful décor and the organic breakfasts show they're passionate about their work, not just dabbling in tourism as a business venture."
— Leif Pettersen, Lonely Planet Author

Owned and run by a Romanian/Irish couple, Felinarul promises a friendly welcome. The old house has been renovated with great attention to detail winning awards for its design.

The intimate cobblestoned courtyard is a quiet oasis of calm in the heart of the old town, where guests can hang out in the shade and order quality food and drink from the hostel's own cafe.

The hostel also has a chill-out zone, complete with a well stocked library and book swap. There are two common rooms, with one offering a flat screen TV showing Romanian documentaries and films.

An organic home-made granola with seasonal fruit is served each morning free of charge. And soon our VW camper van will be restored to offer guests tours of the quaint villages around Sibiu.
